ChatMail exists to close that gap — to make your inbox feel like the apps you already live in.
Everyone you know communicates by messaging — WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Slack. It's instant, it's threaded by person, and nobody needs a manual. Then you open email and it's subject lines, quoted replies, CC chains, and “RE: RE: Fwd:”.
We didn't think the problem was email itself — billions of people rely on it every day, and it isn't going anywhere. The problem is the interface. So instead of asking you to move to a new address or learn a new tool, ChatMail simply re-skins the inbox you already have. Your Gmail, shown the way your brain already works: as conversations.
What we believe
- Familiar beats clever. The best interface is the one you already know. If you can send a text, you can use ChatMail.
- Your inbox is yours. We're a window into your mail, not a vault that hoards it. Nothing is stored on our servers.
- Less, but better. No feature bloat, no dashboards, no “productivity system” to maintain. Open it and start talking.
Where we're headed
